Wash Balls And How Do They Work
I am not sure if you have already heard about wash balls, so let me explain what they are in a few short words. Wash balls are a pretty new invention that can eliminate the use of washing detergents while you do your laundry. They look like funny shaped plastic balls and you put them in your washing machine together with your laundry.
Here I will try and explain how do wash balls work, I mean at least how they are supposed to work. I’ve been using them for a while now and I’m satisfied but then again I’m not that picky and have a poor attention to details. And I always use a little bit of detergent for the smell, not just wash balls and water.
Now lets take a look at how washing balls work.
Every wash ball is actually hollow and filled with ceramic pellets. These pellets must first be charged. You achieve that by placing them on your window or someplace similar so the sun can shine on them. Sun or UV rays to be more exact are supposed to give them special energy that later influences the water. You are supposed to do this about once every month.
These pellets inside the ball emit infra red rays that break water molecule’s hydrogen combination into smaller water cluster and activate the small water cluster. This increases the molecular motion of the water, water easily penetrates the fibers and the washing power of the water itself is increased.
The wash ball also radiates negative ions that soften the fibers in your clothes so the dirt can come out faster and easier without the use of detergent.
Wash ball also eliminates the chlorine from the water. This helps save the clothes (colors and elasticity). By doing this it softens the water and soft water has lower surface tension and is better for any kind of washing.
Washing detergent also produce a certain level of pH in the water to better dissolve oils and dirt from your clothes. Wash balls can do the same (though producers do not tell us how).
This is how wash balls replace detergent when it comes to washing your dirty clothes. If all this is true (I can sadly not tell you if all this is possible, we would need a scientist to do that) wash balls are one of the greater inventions. They could save us a lot of money and what is even more important – they would have a big positive impact on the environment. But you will have to decide for yourselves.
Jenny writes on a small blog about these wash balls where she posted some information about them – like how do you use wash balls and where you can share your review of the balls – do they work or not.
